Silver medal and top ten place for Diets Don’t Work team at the EIRC

After the race

The DDW team ventured up to Manchester for the EIRC (English indoor rowing championships) this weekend where Diana Tooms and Adam Atkinson competed in the 60-69 ladies heavyweight and 40-49 mens heavyweight respectively.

After 14 weeks of training and planning we came away with an amazing silver medal for Diana and a great top ten place in a very competitive field for Adam. It hurt, and the teams had to dig real deep, but it was worth the suffering! It should be noted that at the start of her training a few short years ago Diana could hardly jog around her garden, let alone row for 200m at breakneck pace. See her story here.
