Frequently Asked Questions

Where do we train?

It doesn’t matter how much space you have in your home. We have worked with lots of clients in every space you can think of. Our trainers are experienced and creative, and can work with any type of space from the living room floor to the garage or garden. Your program will be equally effective!

What if I don't have enough room in my house/apartment?

It doesn’t matter how much space you have in your home. We have worked with lots of clients in every space you can think of. Our trainers are experienced and creative, and can work with any type of space from the living room floor to the garage or garden. Your program will be equally effective!

Do I need to be in reasonable shape before I start?

Absolutely not. We help all sorts of people from different fitness levels. The less fit you are in fact the greater and faster the gains can be. We will find your level and progress from there. Our health screening in your consultation ensures that you are safe to begin exercise.

Do I need any equipment?

No, we will bring all relevant equipment to you. The equipment takes up minimal room indoors and is equally diverse outdoors. Our trainers focus on functional, varied and interesting exercises.

What if i'm too old?

Nonsense! We have recently taken on a client aged 84, who with gentle exercise and eating advice has lost weight (5 lbs so far!) and feels fitter and more energised. As your body ages exercise and good nutrition becomes even more beneficial.

I have an injury/bad back, does this rule me out?

As long as you are medically cleared we are able to help you rehabilitate from injury whilst still improving your health and fitness. All our trainers are qualified sports therapists and have a wealth of experience in fixing injuries. We successfully work with physiotherapists, chiropractors, osteopaths, etc who we refer and have clients referred from.

How often should I train?

Most of our clients see their trainer 2-3 times per week. Some of the more motivated have just one session, but follow a programme on their own that we provide. Some of the less motivated have more than 3 sessions. It’s up to you. We can advise what will be the most effective for your personal budget/timeframe/need for results.

What sort of exercise will we do?

Most sessions will be an integrated work out covering warm up, CV, resistance training and cool down/flexibility. You may do some jogging, cycling, boxercise, stepping, circuits, lunges, free weights, resistance band work, skipping, core stability and lots more. It depends on your goals, ability and what you like!
